Rob McEwen

Rob McEwen followed his father into the investment industry and developed a passion for gold. In 1990, Rob jumped into the mining industry, where he transformed Goldcorp from a collection of small companies into a mining powerhouse. From 1993, when Rob started restructuring Goldcorp to the time he stepped down in 2006, Goldcorp's market capitalization had grown from US$50 million to $8.5 billion and its share price had increased at a 31% compound annual growth rate.

Rob McEwen is currently the Chief Owner, CEO and largest shareholder of McEwen Mining Inc.

In 2007, Rob was appointed to the Order of Canada, the country's highest civilian honour.
