Naomi Alderman

Naomi Alderman is a novelist, videogame designer and broadcaster. She grew up in London and has a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and an MA in Creative Writing from UEA.  Her first novel, Disobedience, was published in ten languages. Naomi won the Orange Award for New Writers and was named Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year, and one of Waterstones' 25 Writers for the Future in 2007. In April 2013 she was named one of Granta's Best of Young British Novelists in their once-a-decade list. Naomi's most recent novel The Power is about what happens when almost all the women in the world develop the power to electrocute people at will. It was longlisted for the Orwell Prize for political writing and won the Baileys Prize for Fiction.
