Shannon Smith joins XPRIZE as Director of Marketing with more than 16 years of experience in Digital Marketing. She will be driving marketing strategy for both the environment and education prizes. Ms. Smith has an extensive background in strategic content development for consumer brands, event marketing, building cross promotional partnerships and creating engaging social media campaigns to drive consumer activation.
Prior to joining XPRIZE, Ms. Smith was with UberMedia, an IdeaLab spin-out company, proving instrumental in the launch of their turn-key mobile advertising network, managing their multiple app properties and social media strategy.
As a strong supporter of cancer research and children’s charities she enjoys volunteering for organizations that benefit the YMCA, City Year and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
